Help me to beat the heat?
Recently I moved to Ashland Oregon and rented a small room on the second floor of a complex event. It is poorly ventilated, so it has a tendency to become a furnace after 10 am. I spent most of my life living on the coast so I'm not used to dealing with this kind of heat. I'm a fan bought from the store every day, but it really does much. I tried out a couple of windows open all day, but I just spent several hours each night, killing the insects before going to sleep (and The Home Depot had exactly zero or insect repellents that work in my situation). Any advice on how to cool down my room? Colleen: Thanks. Three of the four sides of my room are literally all windows, which is probably why I never got in screens, but I'll ask anyway. Also, the windows do not open enough to stick a fan in. It's actually a terrible room design. I will try the ice yet, thanks.
