Mosquito nets are really needed during the trip?

This seems a very personal choice, but I wonder if a network is very useful in a 3 - months. Also it's my wife and I stayed in hostels, etc. and trekking around the Wight is a problem. Is there a better network than others, and what (size 2 singles, a double ...) we get? We are going to Dubai, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. We are taking antimalarial drugs, but decided against the Japanese Encephalitis shot.

Wow, sounds like an amazing trip. A mosquito net can seem a luxury, before arriving, but depending on the time of year to go to places that you stay (hostels), Asia-Pacific can be swarm (Dubai not both). A network will help your peace of mind and help you achieve the dream of all those who need it. You were there all night worried about the mosquitoes buzzing around your head and not going to run around the middle trying to swat at them along the walls (like my husband did). There extendable / retractable versions of the pyramid out there that take very little space. I really only need one size (if you think about sleeping in the same bed!) as well fan. His second concern would be whether there will be room to hang on the network once you arrive. Take along a small hook, which works as long as the boundaries are not concrete.
