Camping for the first time with your child?

So we've been planning this camping trip for a while .. (My first camping children ... and the first IVE once been camping since I was very young) Come next week. Just wanted to know other parents experience in camping with a baby or toddler. How was it when your child wanted to take a nap? The store was too hot to be sleepy child in there for a nap? And the mosquito .... Have you used anything in your child to refuse? I was thinking of using Burts Bees Herbal Insect Repellent ... someone try? Any advice or recommendation would be great! Thanks! (By the way my son has just turned 18 months) i also asked this in the newborn and the baby, but .. might be a better question section child ... so here it is lol.

My family has been camping in a year. I took the triplets there when I was about 20 months of age. I would love to go back because we had a blast ... at least one monster only to see on the site ... Exhibit 3. I swear I almost had a heartattack when the girls went into hiding. : (I think it was fun and the girls really enjoyed it. Naptime has always been mandatory for my children, because they need that relaxation time. Sleeping in the tent, and that the outside was out too bright and tacky too. There was a portable fan (a big blew himself up inside the tent integer) so, the girls were completely comfortable. There are heated and just under a blanket. He slept like a baby. Misquitos hate both and I have tried many different repellents that I can not remember names so I could not tell if I have used or not. I love Burts Bees stuff, it would probobly good. The Miskito not a problem for us ... I think it was the fan. I loved the fan .. stay cool girls just like mom and dad. Tips and advice, I do not think really I have nothing ... Ah, yes I do, keep your daily routine and schedule if you have one ... just because you are camping and is in the middle of the forest, does not mean you can relax in their routines. breakfast, nap, lunch and dinner should be around the same time ... my sister decided bend the rules a little and let their children stay up late and wake up super late and also feed on garbage, without naps and play whenever they wanted. His children have never been so it because they liked that better programming. Even if you do not have a schedule ... a routine that is realistic ... breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same time would at home. He naps at the same time as the home. Go to bed and getting up at the same time at home. the only thing that changes is the environment and the activities during the time of game. Good luck and have a blast. ♥
