I keep getting asked for good ideas for gifts of travel, having made many trips to myself, and know many people who often disappear for long periods, I think my friends think I'm an authority on it, and to be fair I have started to make my trips in my art so you may need to slow down!

After have received myself a lot of mosquito nets, cream, stuffed animals and guide books, which have been given through the love and welcome, I bought something a little more special for our last trip to Utah!

I found this beautiful little known jewelry designer based in Brighton Scarlett, who has made a href = "http://www.scarlettjewellery.com/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=17"> single silver charm which is designed to fit on the cord of a backpack. There is also a version for sale and keyring.

What is beautiful is the idea they are all symbols of journey and good luck with them, to be sentimental to travel, I know mine has and I will not go anywhere without it long distance! There is even a symbol for the owner to keep in touch with friends at home.

I do not think they have a real store in Brighton, but have their parts in other jewelry stores, but you can buy online now (I bought my phone). Personally I think make a really unique gift, much more interesting than a network of mozzies and no "specific climate" or to not a risk to buy a single trip.
