I was surfing the Internet for articles about free ringtones and I was able to open a link to a call Mosquito ringtone. The summary indicates that this was an acute frequency tone that adults can not hear, perfect for children and teens who send text messages during class, the best part about it is I do not get caught. Is this real? I do not think at first, so read some more.

Yes, the tone of the mosquito does not exist!

The Mosquito tone was invented way back in 2005 by a British inventor named Howard Stapleton. The main objective of the invention was to keep children loitering outside shops at night. Since the shape of a whistle that affect dogs or how rats react to high-pitched sounds, the main idea was to get teens through the use of super high frequency sounds. I could hear the sound and I thought my ears would explode.

The idea was to make the children uncomfortable to shop and adolescents, while adults stay involved. The product was marketed and was originally designated as an ultrasonic teenager repellent, which is something like the ultrasonic dog repellent used to protect dogs from "profane" in frontyards.

The tone of the mosquito produces a sound similar to a mosquito, 17.4khz a deafening sound wave. The reason why adults can not hear the sound is due to aging condition called presbycusis.

Hearing experts describe presbycusis as the ear of an "aging". They stated that at the age of 20, the human ear starts to lose its ability to hear higher frequencies human reach and this worsens as people age.

The Mosquito tone was a wildfire and adolescents began to give names different to it as the "Teen Buzz", "Testing of Adults", "Mozzy Tone," "Ultra Sonic tone" and more.
