Allergic to hair ... ties?

so every time I put a hair tie around my wrist as soon as I take what I can get what looks-and feels-like mosquito bites all over the area Ok. I'm pretty sure its not the hair product because, duh, it touches my head and nothing happens. Could actually be allergic to this?
