What are the best ways to prevent and treat mosquito bites?

What are natural ways you can prevent / treat bites? I'm not a big fan of most repellents, unless you know a good one.

The stronger the contents of DEET in the product you buy the best mosquito repellent. I had the opportunity to attend a military course on insect control and their recommendation was really great insect repellent wallmart brand. It has the highest percentage of DEET on the market. Avon Skin So Soft is effective in that it is an oil barrier on your skin where the mosquitoes do not like much. It might want to see if they have a product with deet in it. However, the soft skin alone is as effective as the use of baby oil on the skin. If you will be away for a long time in the woods or spraying clothes with prometherin tent is a great product. It has to dry before letting it touch your skin and definantly something you want do without. You can pick up at sporting goods stores. Sorry, I know of no natural way. The Army really stands for DEET and prometherin to insect control. Good luck in your search
