What is chikungunya?
Chikungunya virus, also known as Chikungunya fever is a viral disease easily transmitted human a bite of an infected Culex or Aedes mosquitoes of many species. If you have been infected with Chikungunya virus, we observed several symptoms of some of which may include:

If you must leave during the day, make sure that any exposure of the skin is protected through the use of repellent insects. Recommends repellents that contain thirty to fifty percent DEET. If you must get a lower concentration, keep in mind that these are only good for more short periods of protection and will have to re-apply frequently to the skin. If you travel from the United States to these areas, you should know that it would able to find the concentrations of more than fifteen per cent, therefore, might be better to buy the repellent from a different region.
When adventure outdoors, make sure to wear long pants and long sleeves. This is one of the best methods of prevention you can take. You can also further protect Spray more clothes with insect repellant containing some form of an EPA-registered ingredient such as permethrin.
If possible, find hotels that have air conditioning or screens on the windows intact. You want to ensure that the screens have no holes or tears, and try to keep the area free of mosquitoes.
